Woodwinds Staff

Woodwinds Teacher: Phyllis Kenney

Coming soon Phyllis's Description.

Woodwinds Teacher: Richard Graves

Woodwinds Youth Care Worker: Lou Barnum

I am interested in helping students be successful in their goals and interests. This can be in many areas, some as basic as finding a safe place to live, looking for a job, setting goals, learning how to communicate with people, or have good solid friendships. I enjoy doing outdoor activities and fieldtrips, cooking, sewing, art and assisting in academics.

Woodwinds Youth Care Worker: Rob Daniells

Rob has been associated with teens since 1971, when he started working in a crisis center in New Westminster, at the same time as attending SFU. He helped raise a family of three, and decided to get a teaching certificate from UBC and in 1983 did his practicum in SD 69. He switched over to being a youth worker in 1991, and has been working at Woodwinds since 1998, enjoying every moment of it.

He enjoys the challenge.

Rob also drives the school bus on field trips, and enjoys spending time in the art room with Laurie, or the woodshop with Richard.

His passion is travel, and strongly believes that traveling and the rewards that come through travel and cross-cultural exchanges is a great way to round off ones education. To quote a well-used expression, "It's not the destination, but the journey that counts". His other main interests are his family, music and photography.

Friends, family, and Love are important in the game of life...in memory of KHJ

The room is the center of celebrations just before the Christmas holiday when it is decorated and turned into a dining room for the annual Hoiday Dinners.
